After wandering along twisty mountain paths, splashing through waterfalls, and gathering wild herbs under the forest canopy in Asheville NC, Destini and Jake have finally planted their roots in San Francisco, California. Here, close to family and the salty ocean breeze, they are conjuring up The Ash & Berry Tea House and Apothecary—a magical haven born from their devotion to Mother Earth and the joy of sharing her gifts with kindred spirits. Five years of mountain living, the wild ride of the pandemic, and surviving hurricane Helene have reminded them that, like trees in a forest, we truly thrive when we grow together.

Their last adventure, Roots of the Sun—a tea house, apothecary, and wellness sanctuary in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida—was a wild and wonderful journey, overflowing with community love and support. The magic, inspiration, and healing that blossomed there are seeds they are eager to scatter across the San Francisco Bay, inviting new friends to sip, savor, and grow together.

This time around, Destini will be the wise woman at the helm of The Ash & Berry Tea House Apothecary, eager to sprinkle her earthy magic and love for the green world into every cup and conversation. The apothecary doors will open first, inviting you to explore shelves brimming with organic loose leaf herbs, Destini’s own enchanted tea blends, essential oils, and potions for body and soul—think tinctures, salves, and wellness treasures crafted with care. Soon after, the kitchen will come alive with the aroma of teas, elixirs, frothy tea lattes, and herbal treats both sweet and savory. And for those seeking a little extra sparkle, practitioners will be on hand to offer astrology and tarot readings, weaving a bit of stardust into your visit. After the kitchen is humming with herbal love, they will launch the online shop.

Having the opportunity and privilege to serve this community here in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood will be a chapter to remember for the rest of their lives. Just being in the Heart of the Summer of Love hippie movement is such an honor.
